Paula Huston lives with her husband and their oldest daughter’s family on four acres on the central coast of California where they raise fruit and vegetables, press their own olives, keep chickens and bees, and make wine. Her elderly father-in-law and mother both live close by. A Camaldolese Benedictine monastic oblate, Huston spends her time taking care of her young grandchildren and parents, writing, and mentoring graduate students of creative nonfiction in the Seattle Pacific MFA program.
