A popular speaker and retreat leader, Paula Huston offers lectures, workshops, and full-length conferences on various themes, including the ancient spiritual disciplines, the practice of the virtues, forgiveness, spiritual health in an age of anxiety, and writing as spiritual formation. She has been a Newman lecturer in various universities and has done readings and interviews in numerous venues, including bookstores, prisons, public radio stations, and cable TV.
She currently teaches creative nonfiction in Seattle Pacific University’s low-residency Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program, and fiction writing for Image’s Glenonline writing school. She is also a regular faculty member at the Glen Workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and at the Central Coast Writers’ Conference in San Luis Obispo, California.
If you are interested in having Paula come speak, please know that she is fully booked for the 2012 season and will be taking a one-year sabbatical beginning May 1, 2012, during which time she will be unable to accept any invitations.
