MFA RESIDENCY: Creative Nonfiction

I will be teaching in the Seattle Pacific Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing programmed, co-sponsored by Image, the Journal of Arts and Religion. This low-residency MFA meets twice a year for ten days. The summer residency takes place on the campus of St. John's College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and overlaps with the Glen Workshop, at which I will also be doing a reading. The residency dates are 7/28-8/7.

Please pray for me on my sixtieth birthday today! And also as I begin a 1-year sabbatical from public speaking and new book contracts. I will still be teaching in the Seattle Pacific MFA program and the GlenOnline writing school, but other than these, and the obligations of family love, I hope to spend this year resting from all deadlines in order to spend more time in prayer, study, thinking, working in the garden, and cooking--all ways in which my spirit is greatly renewed.
